Google Maps Outreach Workflow
How to find and contact local businesses that need our help.
Step 1: Finding Businesses
Go to Google Maps and search for local business categories. Examples:
- "Boutique near me"
- "Dental clinic in [City Name]"
- "Plumbers in [Area Name]"
- "Interior Designers in [City Name]"
Step 2: What to Look For
Identify businesses that need a website:
- No Website Listed: If the "Website" button is missing, they are a perfect lead.
- Old/Broken Website: If their site looks very old or doesn't work on mobile.
- Reviews: If they have good reviews but no website, they are likely a successful business missing out on digital growth.
Step 3: Noting Details
Maintain a simple Excel sheet or notebook with:
- Business name
- Phone number
- Area / location
- Preferred contact method (Call / WhatsApp)
- Status (Called / Messaged / Interested / Follow-up / Closed)
- Last contacted date
Step 4: Best Time to Contact
Timing matters for small business owners:
- Retail/Shops: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Before lunch rush)
- Service Providers: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM or 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Avoid: Lunch hours (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM) and late evenings.
- If calls are not answered, send a polite WhatsApp message during business hours.
- Avoid late nights and repeated messages.
Step 5: Choosing the Outreach Channel
Pick the method that works best for the business owner:
- If the business answers calls, use the calling script.
- If calls are not answered, send a polite WhatsApp message.
- If the business prefers WhatsApp, continue the conversation there.
- Do not force calls if the client prefers messaging.
Step 6: Follow-up Discipline
Keep follow-ups professional and limited:
- Maximum 1 call attempt per day.
- Maximum 2 WhatsApp follow-ups.
- If no response after final follow-up, mark the lead as No Response / Closed.
- Always remain polite and professional.
Final Guidelines
- Do not spam or pressure business owners.
- Follow the official calling scripts and WhatsApp templates.
- Do not promise instant Google rankings or guaranteed leads.
- Do not collect payments personally.
- Always represent Sai Chandra Solutions professionally.
